''Telegraph'' is the debut album by singer-songwriter Drake Bell. It was recorded by Bell and producer Michael Corcoran, as well as a few friends in a simple home studio using a Digidesign Digi 002. The following record, ''It's Only Time'' was recorded at the time in a newly built studio, The Backhouse.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=C.J. Being an independently released production, it ran out of print, and was subsequently re-released on August 7, 2007. ==Critical reception== ''Telegraph'' was critically acclaimed. The album was praised for its darker tone and Bell's songwriting. 7 of the 10 musical tracks on the album were written by Bell at around 14, 15, either on his own or with bandmates from his band at the time, Drake 24/7. Bell was around 19 when the album was recorded. Some of the songs were performed on the TV show Bell starred in, "Drake & Josh" AllMusic wrote in its review of the album,"He specializes in upbeat, McCartneyesque ditties fleshed out with enchanting harmony vocals and big, wet production."〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.allmusic.com/album/telegraph-mw0000215559 )〕 A writer for ''Ultimate Guitar Archive'' praised Bell's vocals on the album, writing "his voice is pleasantly raspy and there's always a sense of unapologetic know-how in his delivery, without the bratty psuedo-punk attitude that litters many a radio station".〔 Geocities praised Bell for it being not the teen pop of other child stars, and wrote that "Excellent use of musical special effects, a very Beatle-ish thing to do. Which is never a bad thing.Don't make the mistake and treat this like teeny throwaway pop. In fact the parents who purchased this for their kids might just play this record more often than they do. Bell appreciates those that came before him and he has the talent to be around for many years to come. Long after the screaming masses that have left the building the music will remain just as it always has. If you wondered what happened to real rock and roll in the mainstream buy this record. It's a good place to start for both Bell and the listeners." 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Telegraph (album)」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
